They seemed destined to have romantic moments in kitchens, Robin mused. When he finally told her he loved her, it was in the castle kitchens (a moment rendered less than ideal by the fact that they were crouched over Allan's prostrate form at the time, but still), and now, they shared a set of kisses that floored him in the middle of this kitchen.
Perhaps he should have proposed in one; maybe she would not have left him dangling so long before accepting, if he had.
But, they still had to finish up this move. After they put everything away, Marian explained how a kitchen worked in this day and age, and while he was impressed, it also made him miss his friends once more. Much would be delighted with a stove, and he even thought of Thornton when Marian showed him the refrigerator and freezer, remembering the butler's lament one summer about how quickly foodstuffs spoilt in the heat.
And then, she explained the bathroom to him, placing particular stress on the shower.
Discreetly sniffing his shirt collar, he asked, "Are you trying to tell me something?" He was joking, but all the same, it was not the first time someone had alluded to eau de outlaw. Well, he would like them to take constant baths in the frigid stream and then see how harshly they judged the gang.
But this shower was lovely! "I think I can handle that," he agreed cheerfully. Now, it just remained to be seen if he could recall what she had said all of these bottles were for.
