Marian laughed a little at his sigh, pressing her lips against his gently and quickly before pulling back for good. She simply nodded at his question, wondering exactly why he was frowning. And then she remembered. She wasn't born into a life of work, she was taught to enjoy the finer things life had to offer. But here, that was not an option. If she wanted those luxuries she had to work for them.
But she enjoyed that. She enjoyed knowing that what she had was earned by her and not given to her because it was a gift or to keep her happy. The clothes, the food, everything in her room was earned. And she enjoyed them so much more because of this.
"Yes they're all books," she said with a laugh before walking over to the little trolley. Only a few more books, all for the one section, to get put away so she would be done soon. "It's amazing, isn't it? All these books in one building."
