Faith wouldn't have admitted it, but as Pike went inside, she grew nervous. As she leaned against the side of the building, eying people and cars alike as they passed, she chain-smoked her way through a third of a pack. As she tossed another butt to the ground and smashed the end under the heel of her boot, he stepped out.
