Rose Hathaway :: Vampire Academy ([info]lildampeer) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
ROSE & DAMIEN - TRIGGER WARNING FOR MENTION OF CHARACTER DEATH
"I think Regina was just planning to use magic." Rose shrugged. She'd left the light show details up to her. In all honesty, Rose didn't really feel like celebrating any more than some others did. She still thought having something like this was important, though. What she'd said was something she believed in. It was important to find something to celebrate even in the midst of a tragedy. Especially then.

Forgetting about Christian wasn't a luxury Rose enjoyed. His final moments were burned into her memory. What she'd done to him was the worst of her crimes as a struggling. It was something she would never, ever forget. If seeing Lissa brought those memories more easily to the surface, seeing his double did that even more. Rose knew they weren't the same person. There were so many differences between them. That didn't make this easy, though.

Not wanting to talk about it, Rose schooled her expression quickly into a mask of perfect guardian-neutrality. "I'm fine, really," she assured him. It wouldn't have fooled anyone who really knew her well. If her closest friends were paying attention to her now, they'd know something was wrong. For someone she'd only met a few times, who barely knew her, though, she figured it should be good enough.
