IC/OOC Thread: Rose & Regina's Fourth of July Party
Who: Everyone who came. Rose invited the whole network, so you're all welcome!
When: Saturday July 4th starting at 1pm.
Where: Rose's cabin by the graveyard.
What: Rose & Regina's 4th of July BBQ shindig.
Rating: TBA/Ongoing.
Status: IC/OOC thread. You can just post who came and what they did, etc, or you can put any threads you want to do in the comments of this post.

Magic was used to make patriotic decorations and they managed to get together a bunch of really awesome food and stuff and it was all around awesome.

Regina and the rest of her family were there. Xavier wore something like this.

When Regina wasn't playing with her sons she was being absolutely adorable with Robin. I mean she probably took whip cream and put it on his nose at one point.

Basically despite all that they had lost she tried to enjoy the holiday and the fact that those that mattered to her the most were still alive.

	- Alicia was late but showed up for a bit with some food and was probably pretty quiet in general. - Caroline showed up for a little bit but she's struggling and left quickly. - Lissa was around but she didn't really know if she should be or where things stood. Right, my people.

Allison wasn't there, because she spent the night hanging with Lydia in the hospital.

Bonnie is dead :(

Faith isn't 100% but she would have stopped by and said hey to Jim and Regina and stuff. Ate some free food and all that jazz.

Robin was obviously there, since he's been staying there with Regina & co. He would have mostly stuck close to Regina and the kids, but tried to be friendly to others, too.

Rose was clearly there. She spent most of her time with Jim, but also played with the kids and traded off hostess duties with Regina, making sure everyone had food and drink and stuff. The fireworks were ALL REGINA, though.

Skye was there briefly with Ward, I think, since he commented on the initial post about stopping by after the town memorial. She was pretty quiet, but tried to be friendly.

Snow would have come by to support Regina, mostly, and check on how she was doing, even though she's not really doing well.

Stefan would have gone if dragged, so Maxi LMK if Caroline tried to drag him along!

Thea would have been there with Ben and his mom, I think!

Sorry Snow but Regina is going to pull you into a hug reminiscent of the hug you shared in the woods that one time. Cause Mama Regina feels your pain. And the babies. Oh the babies need to play together. Because squee so cute.

uhm hum basically Regina said hi to everyone who came cause she was co-hostess. idk my brain is shutting down for the night so that's all I've got.

	Kirk definitely talked to Faith for a bit. He wants to make sure she's okay because he likes her as a friend. I think this would have been a good time for Kirk and Stefan to at least start really talking, if they got the time? Molly would have been chatty with everyone, but slightly subdued. Scorpius showed up - oh wait, no. He was already there. Lol. Okay, so he had helped set things up, probably a bit of magical assistance, etc. He was quiet at the party for a bit due to the experience of House of Sass demolition and everyone barely getting out of that safely, but was his usual social butterfly self after an hour of mingling. Talked to some HP peeps or anyone else, checked on Xavier and Roland once in a while to see if they're enjoying it. He'd have offered a magic demonstration if any might have wished to see some.

Damien also came, dressed nicely. He mingled with people known or unknown to him, was easily approachable, had some food. Actually really enjoyed that food especially if it's sweets or dessert kinds.

Yes! I would imagine that Rose and Scorpius have gotten to know each other a little better since they're roommates! Rose has been living with Regina since shortly after the whole Strigoi plot, after which Regina basically harassed Rose until she gave in and talked to her about everything lol. I think they had already talked/hung out before that. Didn't Scorpius offer to teach her quiddittch waaaay back ages ago?

And Damien is one of two people who explicitly know what happened between Kirk and Rose during the heightened emotion plot, so he and Rose should definitely be getting better acquainted Y/Y? Rose did live at Graeves House for months before the whole Strigoi thing went down, so I'm sure they've talked before, but you know

I am totally down for doing a thread with either of them if you want!

	Kirk would definitely have spoken to both of them. And if Damien had any questions about what was up with him and Rose he'd be "Not sure, we're just kind of seeing where things go at this point." Molly would have spoken with both of them too. I'm sure she'd know Scorpius because of Regina if we haven't had them speak already, and I know she's friendly with Damien. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Als would have plopped down next to Scorp at some point and out an arm around him and talked to him about something stupid and silly and easy and than probably messed with his hair and went to go find a drink. Kirk was there helping Rose and Regina when he could, chatting with friends, trying to enjoy himself. Everyone with eyes has probably realized by now him and Rose are particularly close and he's kind of evasive on it if asked directly.

Molly was there and was friendly, if a little bit quieter than normal (I'm assuming by now she'd been compelled to sleep at least once, but probably not oten). But she did make it a point to introduce herself to people she doesn't know well and connect with friends she hadn't seen much of before the earthquake. And she adored playing with the boys.

The past several days had been rough. Rose had been lucky in the sense that she hadn't lost anyone really important to her. She'd known some of the people who had died, of course, but the most important people in her life were still here. They were still alive. That didn't mean she wasn't sad about what had happened. Watching Jim and Regina and her other friends lost people they cared about, watching them lose their homes and their livelihood, was hard. Watching all of the people who were now homeless and all of the destruction around them wasn't easy and neither was that sense of helplessness that still threatened to overpower her if she stopped moving long enough to let it. She'd kept busy, helping where and however she could. Sometimes, that meant something as simple as keeping Roland and Xavier for a few hours so that Robin and Regina could have their time alone. To grieve. To figure out how they were going to get past this. Today, it meant having this party. Regina had been planning it for over a month and Roland had been really excited about the fireworks. Rose knew some people didn't agree, but she and Regina had decided it was important to do this. To show the boys that it was important to celebrate the good in life, even when things like this happened. Maybe especially when things like this happened.

It reminded Rose of what Mason had said after the Badica massacre. She hadn't understood how people could be so excited about the ski trip when it was born out of such a tragedy and he'd reminded her that they were still alive, that it was important for them to keep living. It was ironic that just a week later, it was Mason who was dead, but no matter how hard she'd found it to take his advice after that tragedy, she knew he was right. She couldn't help thinking that if Mason was here now, he'd approve of this. The thought of him made her smile and she wondered if he would ever show up here. It could happen, she guessed. She hoped it would. Even after all this time, she missed him.

Pushing her somber thoughts aside for now, Rose picked up a tray of vegetables and carried it over to the table that was housing all of the food. She glanced around the room and decided she was happy with the way everything looked. She and Regina didn't expect a big turnout, but that was okay. They'd be happy for a quieter celebration with those who did decide to be here. Hell, they'd have been happy if it was just their motley crew of what had become family for Rose or even just Roland clapping in delight at the light show later on. That's what they would focus on today, anyway. Tomorrow, they'd be right back to trying to help figure out how to rebuild what they'd lost and how to help the town move on from the tragedy, too, but today they were going to focus on the good. Or at least they were going to try.

So, Aria wasn't there. She doesn't much feel like celebrating.

Angelina showed up for a bit with Als. But not for long, I think.

Chloe will have shown up after the memorial. She knows what it's like to need to feel alive after tragedy.

Damon was busy comforting Elena.

Dean showed up briefly, before dragging Sam and Ruby off the Winchester family tradition.

Buffy showed up for a bit to show moral support.

Jemma is dead. :(

Tony shows up. Brings epic fireworks. Shows off, and is grenerally the life of the party because he's trying to cheer everyone up.

David is not coping well. Sticks with Snow for most of the night.
