Entry tags:johanna mason, levi ackerman

Who: Levi and OPEN TO ANYONE PLEASE
Where: Arrival location, graveyard
When: February 28, when Levi just arrives
What: Levi is here, and slightly confused and maybe a hint paranoid
Status: Incomplete for someone to tag in if they'd like!
Warnings: Probably mentions of death, war and uncertainty

One moment, he had just survived a firefight. Bullets flying (literally) through the air to strike him down. The mountain girl (what was her name again? Sasha, that was it) had been tending to his bruises and wounds. They weren't much, but considering he'd been moving at a fast speed away from bullets, it was miraculous that he hadn't been hit worse than he was. Dressed still in his military gear, Levi found himself standing now in the middle of what appeared to be (shockingly) an abandoned graveyard. Or at least, a very old one. He would have looked out of place, out of sorts, to anyone walking by.

The Captain of the Special Ops squad stood looking dumbly around, wondering just what in the hell had happened. He wore his white pants and knee high black boots. The half-cropped tan jacket covered a loose-fitting shirt and the 3D Manuever Gear that they all wore practically on a daily basis. His green cape, with the Wings of Freedom emblem blazen on its back, was attached to his back and flew lightly behind him with the gentle breeze in the area. At his side were the old-fashioned gas tanks that were designed specifically to hold the blades. These blades, cut diagonally in some areas, were meant to slice cleanly through thick flesh. They were meant to bring down fifty meter tall Titans.

At least he still had his weapons. The guns, which Erwin had somehow managed to find, were tucked still neatly into his uniform, but they weren't something normally carried by their regiment, or by any regiment, really. Guns didn't work against his usual enemies. Walking out of the graveyard slowly, aiming closer for the street that he could see even from here, Levi started on his journey forward, trying to make sense of what in the hell had just happened. Where was he, even? There were no walls. From what he could see, no Titans or signs of them. But that didn't always mean that they were safe from Titans, either. They could appear at any moment, and he had to be ready for them.

"Can't say I have, no."

She could see him glancing beyond her. Good, that meant he was planning on fleeing, not making a stand. She could work with fleeing. That meant he'd be someone else's problem, and she wouldn't be face-down in the dirt in this sodding graveyard. Not that she relaxed at all, her gaze still focused on him, trying to figure out what he was packing.

"Okay, so. This is going to sound crazy, but hear me out. There's a thing here called a Seal that's reaching out to other worlds and pulling people through..."

She paused, letting that sink in.

No Titans? That was good. Levi let himself appear relaxed, at least on the outside. He studied his surroundings a bit more, watching her carefully. He knew she was watching him, as well. Definitely some type of a fighter or soldier somewhere. Was she military?

"Doesn't matter how I got here. Can we get back? We were in the middle of a war," Levi stated softly, admitting that much to her. She should surely be able to tell, based on his clothing. Or did nothing from his world exist here? Was he in a place where no one had ever heard of the military at all?

Her answers were useful, certainly. He had his escape route planned, should he need it. But that would be a last resort. Gas was a precious commodity right now for Levi, especially as he didn't know if this world even had it.

"Yeah, no. Sorry sport."

Johanna leaned back against the wall, ostensibly relaxing (she'd missed the dance, she realised, missed matching wits with someone who knew how to fight).

"Seal doesn't care what you were in the middle off. There's not a one of us doesn't have somewhere better to be right now, but here we are, until it decides to let us go. Plus side, word is you get dropped off exactly where you were, so you're not missing anything."

Who would have the power to do something like this? Seal? This information was all brand new to Levi. Obviously. He didn't really know what this Seal thing was. It was...interesting, certainly. And how did he know which side she was on?

"I have no reason to believe you, but for now, I also have no reason to not believe you." He gave her a look, a pointed look where he stared at her trying to understand who she was. "And do we know why we are the ones brought here?" This was an important question. Being a member of the regiment, and a renegade Captain as well, Levi knew he was under the scrutiny of the government. Had they brought him here to watch his actions and how he'd respond?

Jo shook her head.

"Your guess is as good as mine. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to what the Seal does, save that it's a massive jackass. The natives reckon it's tied to some sort of Apocalypse-deal but I don't know about that."

She gestured beyond them, into the city itself.

"There's a couple of options for the Displaced - that's what the natives call folk the Seal drops off; complex called Sanctuary's probably your best bet. You want me to point you in the right direction?"

"Displaced. I suppose they always need a name for someone." He looked back over at Johanna, not even knowing her name, but he didn't even care about who she was. At least, he had no reason to care about who she was yet. She was just a girl who he had run into.

"And lead the way, then." He motioned forward, wanting to ask for a moment if his suspicions of her were right. "Are you some type of soldier?" Yes, that was Levi: blunt and to the point when it counted. No beating around the bush or trying to place nice. In his world, in his position, there wasn't room to be nice.

With a mocking salute Johanna pulled away from the wall; burying her hands in her pockets, and beginning the journey back towards Sanctuary, she tried her best to walk 'casually', though she kept one eye on the newcomer, careful never to fully turn her back.

She couldn't help but laugh when he asked the question.

"... a soldier? I guess, kinda. Back home we have... there are these Games. They get kids, two from each district, to fight each other. It's fucked up. I'm what they call a 'Victor'. You can probably fill in the blanks." Johanna shrugged. "What's your story?"

Levi had this part down to an art. If she turned on him, did anything, he would strike and his aim would be perfect. Levi had no issue killing, but he didn't like doing it to humans. He was more accustomed to killing other things. Things that hurt humans.

His attention shifted to Johanna as she answered his question, and with a laugh. His eyes narrowed briefly. "I see. Yes, so you killed to survive. I understand. I'm a soldier myself, but I didn't kill humans. I fought monsters who sought to invade my world and destroy everyone in front of us." Levi clenched a fist, then gave the girl a look. "It's why I had hoped that we could return home."
