Booth didn't understand, no. But what he did get was that something was wrong. He wasn't sure if it was something he did to upset her, or something this Angel guy did, but whatever it was it made staying in the same room with her difficult. The tension was thick and uncomfortable. He offered her a forced grin but it faded as she didn't even seem phased by his lame joke. At least not in a good way. Bones would have even smiled. Buffy only seemed put off and he shook his head slightly, whatever happened must have been bad. But it wasn't really his place to ask. "Plenty of it. " He nudged a hand toward said cabinet. "I restocked it this morning, you can take some to your place if you're out."
He didn't know what kind she liked, but he'd noticed early in the afternoon that it was empty. He was staying for free, so the least he could do was replenish things when he saw they were out as long as he had the cash. He always kept a couple hundred dollars of emergency cash on him and he was glad he did especially now. He couldn't access his bank account, and that worried him. But he wasn't about to question it. Questions in this place lead to headaches and more confusion. He so wasn't ready for that yet. Time. It would take time.
Booth didn't know what else to do so he was just quiet, pulling his eggs out of the pan and onto a plate.
