At first Booth didn't notice either. Eggs all steamy and wanting to be stirred again. So he did, and looked down at the comic. He wasn't one to show his secret geek side, but with powers out of the closet he figured a little nerding was appropriate. He was just glad Angela, or the other squints weren't there to witness it. He was supposed to be the icon of manliness. Not the closet fanboy. He seriously hoped it wouldn't come back one day to bite him in the ass.
Looking up as he saw movement out of the corners of his eyes he saw the tiny blond slayer and raised an eyebrow. He didn't have super powered mind reading like Elliot, but he didn't need it to see how awkward things were. Silently connecting the dots, he gave her a small smile and a curious side glance. "Hey." He finally said after she got to the coffee. "You hungry?" He offered. Trying to make some kind of conversation. He was good at reading people, it was his talent. Sometimes his curse when he couldn't figure out how to use it in these kinds of situations.
It wasn't one he'd ever dealt with before. Looking like another person, identical apparently. It just didn't happen in his world. Where he was from as far as he knew, people went to work every day. And it didn't involve solving supernatural cases. Though sometimes he wondered. "I've got...eggstra." He tried a lame joke. Giving her a lopsided grin.
