She'd have hoped he wouldn't agree for her to go ahead, but she put on a small smile and nodded. "I wouldn't have offered if I minded," she said lightly. After another sip of her drink, she cupped the glass with both hands, staring down at it for a long moment, before she started. "A few weeks ago...I met this guy. It was completely by accident - I pretended he was picking me up to get out of an uncomfortable situation, and afterwards I thanked him for the help...and he kind of followed me home. I have this thing where I just...I don't date. I might go out for drinks," And she paused, glancing over at him with a faint smile. "But I don't really go on dates. And somehow, well, he and I...started dating. And then he became my boyfriend."
Straightening up a little, she smiled faintly in remembrance. "I thought I loved him, and he loved me. It seemed that way - we were happy, at least. Then...just a few days before I came here, I found out that he'd been lying to me, and that he...well, he was in town to track down his father, to...kill him." Her smile had faded at this point, and her eyes dropped. "And his dad was someone I knew. I sent a message to his dad and when he found out I did...he nearly killed me. I think he...he wanted to." Georgina fell silent for a long moment, then finished off the contents of her glass. "He took off after. Left town. And now here I am, a whole other world away," she said softly, before her eyes finally lifted to Danny again. "So I guess you could say I just went through a really bad breakup." Lifting her hand, she signaled the bartender for a refill, really needing one right about now.
