In all honesty, Skye knew before she'd sat down to watch the show that it was probably a bad idea. What good could possibly come of watching yourself on tv, powerless to do anything about whatever went down? But Skye had never been able to control her need to know. She had to see if Fitz was okay and what if there was something more about her parents, where she came from? No, not watching hadn't been an option, especially knowing that Simmons meant to. Watching the events unfold on the screen had Skye feeling a myriad of emotions from hurt to confusion to anger. Watching Fitz clearly struggle with even recalling his words was so hard. Skye felt a rush of sympathy for him, and for Simmons, but more than that she felt so much anger towards Ward for making it happen. She was angry with Coulson, too, for seemingly blowing her off and then for making her go talk to Ward. Skye had pretty much made up her mind as she watched that she was going to hit him if he showed up here. She was the only one Ward would talk to? Great. Even seeing Coulson there on screen telling the others that every word Ward said was true, Skye couldn't really believe it. Ward was a liar. It was what he did. Even with the scars to prove it, she had no reason to think he wasn't just playing her. She certainly wasn't going to feel any sympathy toward him. Taking a walk to clear the troubled thoughts that still lingered in her head seemed like a good idea as she stepped out of the warehouse and into the twilight. She had been here a short enough time that there were still areas to be explored and even though it was quickly growing dark, she had her amulet to protect her along with her training. She wasn't a demon fighter by a long shot, but she trusted that she could take care of herself. Skye had been walking for awhile when that trust proved misplaced. Demons, as she found out quickly, were a lot faster and stronger than her and she really wasn't a match for this one, even though she fought valiantly. Knowing she was out of her league, Skye screamed for help just as the thing that looked human but definitely wasn't got a hold of the amulet around her neck and pulled. The chain came apart easily in the demon's grip and Skye screamed again, even as her eyes met his in defiance. |
