She could see he had wanted to say something but hadn't and she wondered what it was. It was probably something about what she had said that sounded...she didn't know. Silly, probably. There were times she felt she acted so silly around him, and he had to have noticed. But it looked like she had successfully changed the subject.
"Well, I can make something for me and if you want something you're more than welcome to it," she said. Then she paused, a slight frown on her face. "But do we eat together too often? I mean, we don't have to. We can always do something else if we want to spend time together. Things that don't involve eating, like taking a walk somewhere."
