The fact he admitted she was was probably the best thing that had happened to her the entire day. It didn't quite matter how she was important to him, just that she was. She picked up some more lo mein on the fork and ate it before she decided to speak again.

"If you're going to accompany me to class at least let me feed you breakfast," she said, changing the subject. "My first class starts at ten but if today is any indication I'll most likely be up at seven. That can give me plenty of time to make something for us both to eat. I can make pancakes, scones and American biscuits fairly well. Is there anything you'd prefer to eat?"
