She looked down at her food, twirling some of it on her fork as she gathered her thoughts. She was important to him. He wouldn't have said it was of the utmost concern if she wasn't important. She found herself growing warm as she smiled at that. He hadn't actually said something like that before.
"So I'm important to you?" she finally asked, looking over at him. She knew he would see she was blushing slightly, but at the moment she didn't care. She had rather guessed she was, but it would be nice to get confirmation. It didn't even matter to her if she was simply an important friend. Then she paused. "Because you're quite important to me," she added, a little bit more quietly than the first thing she had said.
