Who: Henrik and Klaus Mikaelson
What: Holiday chats in NOLA
Where: The balcony of their suite
When: Today, late morning
Rating: TBD
Status: In progress.

It was strange, being here. Being in a city that he knew as his but knowing it wasn't. Someone else had planned the things he'd planned. Built the things he'd had built. But he could still show them, His youngest brother and the woman he loved beyond all others. He could show them this city, explain what he'd done, and show them the beauty of the place. Henrik even now was looking out over the city. Listening to a jazz musician playing down the street.

Klaus really didn't want to push things too early with Henrik. But the truth was he needed to know the whole story. Possibly without some of the gorier details, but why exactly he'd walked away from his family. Why he didn't want them in his life and why they had their issues with him. He needed to know why Klaus was so worried that Henrik would leave him, why he worried about Stefan and Katherine being around him so much. All of it. And Caroline had left the suite already to go and take advantage of the day spa the hotel had included in the deal for the suite. It was the best time to do this really.

And so with a resolution in his mind he didn't really feel, he followed the boy onto the balcony and gazed out over the city for a moment before leaning against the rail and turning to his brother.

"Can we talk about some things? I expect you have an idea of what" he said simply. It was going to be messy, the boy would probably be angry at him, but hopefully he'd see why exactly he was so protective of him.

It was better that he didn't go to school just yet. He could get the tutors he needed. Learn what he needed to learn. He would find someone that would be willing to teach him and then maybe next year he could attend proper school if that was what he wanted. Henrik seemed alright with the idea of lessons so Klaus would make that happen for him.

"I know you'll work hard. You are an incredibly smart boy, you always were. Its just that there are different things you need to know here. And yes, as you say, you know things they do not. But if you want to attend the same school as those at the center then you'll need to know what your tutors will teach you. But I imagine it won't take you long to be ready."

Klaus smiled at the mention of Rose's center. Did Henrik really worry that would be taken away from him.

"Of course you can. You'll have your classes but I hope those will be at the same time as school is. And yes you can continue to do things at the center. You should spend time with people of your age. And try the sports. I think because you're closer to Europe than America you should call it football but most there will call it soccer. Because they're very strange. There's a ball and you use your foot. It seems simple to me. What they call football involves hands."
