Scott & Allison; Talking, feels.
Friday night, June 27, 2014; Casa de Beacon Hills, their room
TBD (but angst! and feels! mentions of death & faulty reality perceptions); Complete
Telling her himself might help.
Scott had been through way too much lately and it was showing in a lot of ways. Not that many had noticed, or at least if they had noticed, they weren't speaking up about it. He wasn't eating as much as usual and sleeping? He barely knew what it was anymore. He didn't usually wander much in the middle of the night, too worried about waking Allison up, but sleep just didn't come easily these days. When he did finally pass out because he just couldn't keep his eyes open anymore, it was nightmares that plagued him. To put it simply...he was depressed. Not that Scott exactly thought of it that way. He just knew he wasn't right, he wasn't himself, and he wanted to fix it. He just wasn't sure how.
Rebekah had suggested talking to Allison, though. And he'd considered the idea a day or so before he actually decided he agreed, she was probably right. Allison may not have said anything to him, but she probably knew he wasn't okay. Even if she'd watched it, even if she could make the logical jump, hearing it from him might make it different. And telling her himself might help him, too.
He stepped into the bedroom they shared--he distantly wondered if his mom had picked up on that fact yet--and found her sitting on the bed. It was such a simple scene to walk in on, but it brought a faint smile to his lips as he lingered in the doorway for a moment before stepping fully inside the room, letting the door click shut softly behind him. This was something he'd never even have a chance to see if he was sent home again. The idea tore at him under the smile he kept on his face as he moved towards the bed, "Hey," he said softly, fingers running gently over her knee as he sat down with her.
