Kol & Crowley
Saying a thing that needs to be said
Saturday afternoonish, February 1, 2014 after this/Crowley's room
Something about saying it over the internet just seemed...wrong.
Kol had tried. He'd really tried to just come out with it and say it on the comms, explain to Crowley why everything revolving around Anna's arrival was so bloody awkward on his end. But he just hadn't been able to do it. Something about saying it over the internet just seemed...wrong. He'd opted for it first because it seemed easier, in theory. It put distance between them. It gave him time to sit and gather what he was trying to say before he said it. What it hadn't done was anything to calm his nerves. In fact, Kol was
pretty sure that it'd only made it worse because he couldn't do it that way. And now he'd gone and gotten flustered and said he'd just tell him in person.
His conversation with Rebekah earlier ran through Kol's mind as he made his way to Crowley's room. Much as the thought still wanted to send him running, he was certain she was right. The reason things suddenly got weird when Anna showed up wasn't anything short of a streak of jealousy. He was suspicious of the redhead despite her insistance that she wasn't there to cause trouble, and had admitted as much to her, and he'd gotten very predictably possessive of the demon when he was explaining things to his sister. But it all came down to the reason behind it all, what the drive behind all those feelings was.
By the time he reached the door, Kol was already wanting to dart, to turn heel and run from this whole conversation. But he didn't. He slipped into the room and leaned a bit too heavily against the door as it fell shut behind him. He had no idea what he was going to say, how it would all come out in the end, but for now, he decided to start with a softly murmured, "Hey..."
