WHO: Sam and Andrea. WHAT: Sulking. WHEN: Evening. WHERE: A bar. RATING: PG-13 at best.
He had to get back to Ruby eventually. Fortunately, contrary to what everyone else was willing to believe, Sam had not left her too far away from Lawrence. In fact, he had found a good hiding place for her just outside of the city limits; it was safe, it was secure, and there was no way in hell anyone was going to find her without his say so. Sam was confident of that. Even so, he made it priority to go back and check up on her every little while. He didn't leave her alone longer than he would anyone else he was keeping prisoner, but he did check up on her more than he would someone that he was holding captive. Right now, though, Sam was using the opportunity that he had to back to check up on everyone. He'd talk to Dean and see how he was doing, he'd visit with Andrea, and then he'd head back to Ruby to make sure that she ate and had what she needed to stay comfortable in her position. Sam already intended on interrogating her more fully in regards to Lilith when he got back to see her; Sam was both looking forward and dreading the experience all at once. On one hand, it was a chance at getting close to the bitch who had killed his brother. The other, however, made it so that he had to interrogate Ruby, of all people, about it. He used to think that Ruby knew just as much as he did. As it turned out, she knew so much more. She had been in on the plan the entire time...
Sam cleared his throat, looking up from the beer that he had been staring at intensely for the past twenty minutes. He had been waiting for Andrea to meet up with him, knowing that she'd need the space away from everyone else as well. That was one thing that Sam found himself surprised by: having someone that he would actually be able to turn to in all this mess. Andrea had proven herself to be a good friend and, because of that, Sam felt less hesitant to meet up with her than he would have anyone else. She understood how much it hurt, in a way. He wasn't as alone as he felt.
Fingers tightening around the half empty bottle, Sam brought a hand up to rub at his eyes. He hadn't sleep properly in a while. Through all the time that he had been gone, Sam had been sleeping in Ruby's car. He had not been able to bring himself to rest around Ruby, so he gave her the room and awkwardly crammed himself into her tiny vehicle when he needed a few hours to himself. He needed more sleep. And more blood. But Sam wasn't going to worry about that right now. Instead, he'd hang out with Andrea for a bit. See if he could make her feel any less crappy about the situation. It was the least that he could do.
He had already ordered her a beer. It sat quietly along the empty space beside him, still cold from when the bartender had brought it over. He bit down at his lip and stared into the beer bottle between his large hands again. It was going to be a long night.
