She was nervous, That much was immediately obvious. She was nervous about what she was about to do. If she'd manage it, if the bloodlust would take her. But she was willing to trust him too. And so he watched her, her eyes scanning the room. Picking out her target. And she chose as he expected she would. As they all did at first, the poor sad little man in the corner, no friends, nothing that anyone would ever truly miss.
"Going for the lonely, the alone. It makes it easier doesn't it? You move in, you do what you need to and its done. But it can look a bit obvious sometimes if you know what to look for, if you were say, a hunter on the lookout for something unusual. Truth be told love, there's something to be said for a crowd, hedonistic foolhardy young things, they don't always notice. Oh I won't deny, if I was going for the kill I'd pick him. No one to miss him. But for a feed. I'd pick her."
Klaus nodded to a girl, amid a group of three or four friends, a girl that had been staring at him for a few minutes now and occasionally glancing to Caroline and whispering back to her friends. "I'd have no trouble getting her to dance, no trouble whispering in her ear to stay nice and compliant and then I could drink what I wanted and be done with it. She'd go back believing she'd had a good time, and I'd move on."
He did wonder if Caroline would be jealous if he did, if he'd be jealous if she picked any of the young men who would likely find her attractive. Probably not, he'd feed them their own intestines if they tried anything.
"Your choice. I'll keep you safe whatever you choose."
