BATTLE - Peter & John
Shock and blood loss had dulled most of his senses, but something twinged and he cried out in sudden agony. The pain chased off some of the haze, enough to ensure that he stayed conscious. Still, Peter's head was so fogged that he couldn't focus. He couldn't discern much beyond the fact that he was hurting bad and that John was there. John was talking, his hands were moving, and Peter couldn't follow any of it.
Then he felt something else, shimmering gold and tingling as it washed through him. He didn't know what it was, but it eased the pain and the open, raw feeling where the wound in his stomach was, and the feeling started to come back to his legs.
