Re: AFTERMATH - Kol/Crowley
Crowley ordered the demons who now kneeled to him to leave, to await further instructions. Really, he just wanted them out of his sight so he could afford to take the time to actually find out just what had happened. He didn't know if they would be afraid of him, afraid enough to be loyal, or if they would scheme to stab him in the back the moment he could. But right then? He didn't have the energy to care.
He leaned back against the same crypt he had declared himself King on, letting the exhaustion happen, just for a moment. Already his mind was working on just how to fix the situation, how to calm Ruby down, how to get her husband back for her. If it could be done. And that was a big if. Reopening the Cage? Getting people out while keeping Lucifer in? It had never been done before. Not even close.
What Crowley wanted to do was find his vampire and share with someone that he truly didn't know if it could be done, find the one person who he actually felt able to show anything that could even be close to weakness in front of.
Until Kol found him.
And until Kol told him that. In that tone, the one that sounded dark and showed how desperate the vampire was.
Well. Shit.
Crowley's eyes returned to human for the first time since the battle had started.
"I will." He didn't sound convincing even to his own ears. "I will. As soon as I figure out how." His gaze flicked around the cemetery, picking out the snarling Klaus, the grieving Elijah. Well, they wouldn't be any help. Rose was gone, and that filled the demon with fury, because he liked her, and that didn't happen often. Ruby was still utterly cold, Lexi was hopefully alive somewhere. Loki was apparently icy and that was interesting, and not something to focus on.
His list was broken. Either gone in some way, or had lost someone close to them. And Crowley had to fix it.
He let his head lean back, banging against the stone wall slightly. "I'll figure it out, I promise. We'll get them back." He bloody hoped.
