Open to CLARK
The demons weren’t fighting any longer so that had to mean they won, didn’t it? Lois wasn’t sure. Being in the Roadhouse and away from the center of the action meant that she didn’t have the scoop which was kind of unsettling to her. She always had the scoop, always knew what was happening and now all there was to do was wait to find out what had happened. To find out what the losses were because it had been a war and that meant there would be some.
There were wounded to tend to though and she had Aislinn still, though at least the little girl had fallen asleep which meant she could put her in the playpen and have Henry make sure she was still safe. And that meant that Lois could work on making sure medical supplies were ready to go for anyone who might need them.
It had been chaos outside, still sounded pretty chaotic, though not as horrible as it had for the last few hours. The fire engines could be heard outside. Police car sirens, Ambulances making their way through Lawrence and trying to help those who hadn’t known what was happening, trying to pick up the pieces from the last few days.
Lois wondered how Clark was doing, hoped that he was okay after everything, and when he might actually be able to stop by the Roadhouse. That reporter in Lois wanted to go out there and start reporting for the news, gathering up people’s stories, learn how things had transpired, but she knew she couldn’t leave until Emma or Graham returned.
So she went back over to where Aislinn was sleeping to wait for the news to come to her this time instead of being the one to run out after it.
