Re: Jainadeath (Open to Jacen)
Jacen only knew the fight, the battle, a furious amalgam of battle meld, defense, protective barriers when he could, occasional attempts at quelling the hellhounds, and then of course the offense. His lightsaber, his lightning, he'd stuck to the classics, pushing tides of demons back, little care for their hosts, why should he when this was the battle to end them all, why should he when Sam Winchester was possessed now because he had not succeeded, Jacen had tried to help and the attempt had failed. And so here he was. A weakness was opening up on the right flank, some demons would swarm in from a corner they'd forgotten to keep an eye out for, the left was holding but there were injured there, they weren't rotating out. Jacen sent nudges where he could, reminders of a not so gentle nature to those in question and returned to the meld.
It was a turning point, one of a few yet to come.
Their actions here set the course, their actions here could determine overall.
Left flank needed to push now, they were strong. Push, push.
He'd been relaying such messages to those who needed to know, who needed to pass it on to the front liners when it happened. The bond, deeper even than the battle meld. The bond he knew only to be Jaina, it tore, slowly at first, but yes, it tore, and he knew. Kriff it he knew...is this what she had felt. Was this the other side of it?
He would tear the world down to see her live. The tears came easily, healing tears, if he could find her in time, his sister, he needed to tell her, she needed to know so much if this was all that he had. If this was...
An ark of lightning shot up into the sky and he urged her to give him some kind of a sign, to know it was him and not Azula's or Zuko's. And finally he saw, the demon looming over his sister, oh no no, the lightning wasn't good enough, not for him. This was not Caedus' fight after all, Jacen's eyes did not glow yellow red but instead narrowed and he seemed almost to stand straighter than he had been, a snake seeming to unfurl from his right arm, that mere seconds ago had looked like armour. A thud bug pulled from another pocket and thrown into a group of demons about to attack nearby before the amphistaff found its mark. The think that had attacked his sister would suffer. He cursed it in Vong as the toxins took hold, paralyzing the body and he didn't know, perhaps the creature could not leave if the body was stuck. It did not try.
Kneeling beside his sister it took him a false start in Vong before he could focus properly on the words to use.
"...you're going to stay with me. I won't allow you leave me. You can't, do you understand me Jaina."
