Killian Jones is Captain Hook. ([info]bythehook) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Battle - Hook and Belle, because hilarity
Demons, monsters, and the bloody Devil himself. They were quite the foes and Hook, personally, didn't much fancy what little odds they had against them. Normally, this would be the sort of battle he wouldn't bother with. If it looked like they were going to lose, then they probably were going to lose. Why get mixed up in a situation where death was inevitable? Well. Currently, his perspective on the matter was a bit...funny. If he fought, they were all probably going to die. If he didn't fight, they were still all probably going to die. But if by some strange twist of fate there was some way that they were going to survive all of this, then Hook wanted to be there to make sure that it happened.

Their survival was important. His? Yes. Very much so. But there was another life that he valued a bit more and he would take anything that Lucifer had to throw at him to make sure that the person he was fighting for lived to tell the tale of this battle for many, many years to come.

Love and revenge.

For the first time in a very long while, it was the former that Hook was risking his skin for.

Emma would live on. Even if she was different, even if she loved another, even if --

Hook had been turning from a body that he'd helped vacate via exorcism (he had held her down for another, at least, as he didn't quite know the words himself) when a man slammed into him. He'd hurtled forward by several gravestones by the time Hook reached round to grab at him, which only made Hook believe he was either a cowardly enemy or another poor fool who had just been exorcised. The which didn't matter to him. He had been running from something and, as he didn't have an escort away from the chaos, Hook could only turn to look in the direction he had come from to figure out why he had been left to fend for himself.

Ah.

Not but a moment later, his hook latched itself onto the shoulder of one of the demons that had cornered Belle. "Two on one," Hook began as he wheeled the black-eyed man about. He tipped his head to the side, a single brow arched upward in a look of pure disapproval. "Now that's no way to treat a lady." And with that, he decked the demon square in the nose, the corners of his mouth turning upward into a sly grin as the demon reeled back in surprise. Right, then. Distract the demons. Round two.
