Scott winced slightly as he absorbed all the pain she was feeling into himself, but he didn't care how much it hurt he wouldn't stop until he took it all away. She didn't need to feel it. Not here, not like this.
He smiled back at her, his own just as weak as hers because he was doing his best to blink back tears. He didn't want her to know how scared he was right now. Because despite all of the words that kept pouring out of his mouth about how amazing and perfect things were going to be later, somewhere in the pit of his stomach, he knew. He knew that it wasn't going to be that way. But he ignored that and held onto his hope because that was just Scott's way.
"No, no, what are you apologizing for? You don't have anything to apologize for." he shook his head, as if to emphasize the point. "You are one of the most amazing people I know, Allison. You're beautiful inside and out and you're independent and you're strong and you're gonna make it through this, okay? We all are." his fingers ran through her hair and across her cheek.
