Lily's face filled with sympathy, and she so wanted to be able to send the girl home and make everything okay again for her. Unfortunately, no one had that kind of power over the Seal. Not even the daughter of Harry and Ginny Potter.
"I'm really sorry, but I don't know how to get you home." She gestured at the sofa before sitting down herself, trying to think how to put into words just what the blonde had gotten herself into. "You've been pulled to another world, so really not close to Daybreak. I'm sorry, I don't even know who or what that is. There's something called the Seal and it's brought a lot of people here, from so many different worlds and times. I'm not from here either, and the year was 2026 when I'm from."
There had to be good news. Something to soften the blow between the information about being in a different world and telling her about the Apocalypse. "If it helps, time isn't passing at home? Sometimes the Seal sends people back, no logic to it, it just happens. And people go home to the exact point in time they left. We know because sometimes the Seal is completely mad and brings them back here again later, it's so confusing. So the thing that's coming in your home, it won't happen without you there. So that's something, right?"
