Numair paused at the soft voice and turned his attention to the girl. She looked human enough, and he could sense magic of some kind swirling through her aura. He glanced around at the strange setting again, still wary, keeping his senses open. She didn't seem like an enemy, but that didn't mean she couldn't be dangerous, or that some other danger wasn't lurking about. Outwardly you wouldn't be able to tell how on guard he was; Numair was good at masking that sort of thing.
He gave a friendly smile, hoping to show her that he meant her no harm. "Hello. I supposed I am, a bit." He said politely. If she was a mage of this world, perhaps she might know how he could get back to Carthak. Or at least she might be able to direct him to a mage or library that would have the knowledge he needed. "Would you happen to know where we are, at the moment?"
