Who:Kon and Tim
What: Random awkward times are awkward.
When:TONIGHT
Warnings:A is for awkward.

Kon had been restless ever since his post on the boards, combine that with every single downward thought spiraling out of control in his brain a million miles an hour-and you had one cranky Kryptonian. Add onto that one who didn't feel like stepping more than a foot outside these days with the media buzzing about, and you had a very pent up cranky Kryptonian. None of which were very good combinations at all. He paced Zee's home back and fourth from one end to the other basically all day. It wasn't like he had much else to do. Connor was busy doing his helpful genius thing, Lois was working, everyone had something to do in that moment but him. He was a ball of super hyper active energy that couldn't sit still.

Krypto wasn't much better. He'd picked up on Kon's mood and occasionally ran into his master. Zee's was great, everyone under the same roof and all. But it just didn't feel like he really fit in there. He tried, but for the life of him he couldn't figure out what to put in the room he'd been given. So it remained minimal. He hadn't even had the money to replace his video game systems, nor the heart to go dig his food machine out of the wreckage of the complex to see if it still worked. He supposed he should otherwise there would be some very happy hobo with an endless magic food machine wandering about. But maybe even that was for the better. He was getting crankier with each step he took.

The party had been the first time he'd been out really, the last being Robin's birthday. Days out of a place not entirely his own was making him feel insane-more so than usual. He grumbled a bit as he paced the living room. He hopped up onto the back of the couch and just sat there. Feet dangling off the ground a bit. Glaring into the empty home. He should have probably been grateful for the time alone, but he wasn't.

Kon paced and paced. That was the problem with supered types trying to relax. Relax meant nothing to do, nothing to do meant a racing mind and no outlet. It was hard for him to relax. But he knew everyone wanted him to. Robin and Lois had both practically said they'd strap him down if he didn't soon, but it was hard. The world was in turmoil and he felt a lot like Captain Planet at times. Needing to be everywhere at once, and even he couldn't save them all. So finally he just needed to take a breather, world spinning out of control or not, but it was difficult.

So much that he was practically going out of his mind with every little thought ately. The whole issue with Tim not helping. He wanted to know just what was going on, why it happened to him. What it was that Tim intended to do about it if he told him, but it wasn't fair to his friend. So he slid down to sit on the floor infront of Krypto who practically mauled him over onto his back. Kon didn't even care. He just looked up at the dog who thought he was playing a game and stared at him with an unamused eyeroll. "Not now Krypto."

The dogs ears flattened in a sulky manner as he got off and sat beside the boy who remained on the ground. Clark had given him Krypto during a particularly awful year at Smallville High, and at the time he didn't appreciate the gift as much as he should have-but now Krypto was kind of like his rock. Something that was always there even when everything else didn't make sense. If he hadn't been, Kon wouldn't have known what to do when he couldn't tell his friends who he was. Or when he felt miserable and had no words. Krypto was there. And now was no different.

Then he heard that voice, the voice that did all sorts of tingly funny things to him even when it was only calling his name. But he didn't get up. Tried beyond all effort not to look too anxious. "In here." And put on his best bored tone and expression as he floated his way up to the ceiling to get a birds eye view of the house from the livingroom. New perspectives and all.
