Who: Thor & Loki
What: Magic! ...and probably talking.
Where: Avengers HQ
When: Immeidiatelyish after Luci screwed with Thor's head.
Rating: Probably not terrifying.
Loki was furious. It was a quiet fury, a well-contained helpless rage. There was nothing he could do that would release it, nor could he simply ignore it. It began with the destruction of the complex and Stark Tower, and had lingered there, smoldering inside, it was its own ever-present reminder that he could help no one - not really - and that he was, for all intents and purposes, still losing this battle.
It had flared up once again, upon learning of his brother's "gift" from this devil.
Multifaceted was hardly strong enough a word to explain the relationship he and Thor had managed to preserve - because there were moments where he was that angry, jealous, frustrated monster, and his brother was the noble and right one - and then there were moments where they were as they had always been, before; there were times he wanted to protect Thor, and times he wished for nothing more than to hit him with something that would actually have an effect. He did not wish him dead, never quite that far, and the moments he wished any harm on his brother at all were fewer and further between as time went on.
Things were strained, but they were... good.
Now, gathering his energy to arrive at his brother's home amongst allies Loki still felt uncomfortable in close proximity to, he was livid. His eyes were bright with it, and his magic, when it flared around him and transported him soundlessly to where his brother was, felt shaky and unpredictable. The simple spell to move from place to place felt like a rush. It was, perhaps, unwise to be doing anything of this nature when he was in such a volitile state... but it would be far worse to leave Thor with those images, those words in Loki's voice, eating away at the trust Loki wished he did not selfishly wish to preserve.
