Endeavour watched her walk down the hallway, then joined the woman he had been talking to outside one of the other rooms. With the damn broken arm he wasn't going to be able to be much help, he realized. But the need to protect people had been instilled deep into him. It was why he had become a policeman, after all. He waited until someone else came to help, avoiding the room nearby his own. Finally, the young woman was gotten out. He made his way to Alexis's room and found the door was off the hinges but it wasn't blocked. He moved it out of the way and went inside.
Her flat wasn't as badly damaged as his own had been, and he was grateful for that. "Alexis?" he called out. "Alexis, this is Endeavour. From down the hall. Are you in here? Can you get out?" He moved into her living room more. "Let me know if you're here. I'm not going to leave until I'm sure you can get out of here."
