"Of that I have no doubt," Percy retorted. He knew that Marguerite was perceptive. After all, to be a good actress, one needed to be perceptive not only of surroundings but of people. Though it was innately more difficult to be perceptive of people, but when one had that talent, it was fairly easy to utilize. Marguerite was certainly exceptionally skilled when it came to being perceptive.
"Perhaps you are right that I miss it." And, really, that was a fairly accurate statement. Percy did sometimes miss taking a risk, missed doing things for the greater good. But he had self-control, and he did exert it when it was needed. And here, he needed to maintain the persona that he wasn't actually Lord Percival Blakeney, merely just a lot like him in some respects. He and Marguerite needed to keep up the front of being similar, not actually being themselves. And yes, he'd taken a risk by giving Nate a nudge in the right direction, but it was a nudge that needed to be taken. Percy had taken the risk for the good of the show, not for any selfish reasons. Though it went unsaid that Percy did enjoy a more accurate portrayal of himself, though that hadn't been his motivation to give Nate a little direction. That scene needed to be done just right because it was a pivotal scene for the Blakeneys, not just for Percy nor not just for Marguerite.
Looking at Marguerite as they walked, he tilted his head slightly. "Though I can certainly say I notice a lot about you as well, my dear. There seems to be something on your mind. Would you like to talk about it?" Percy gave Marguerite the nudge, though if she wasn't ready to delve into whatever was on her mind, he would let it be for the meantime. At the very least, telling her that would let her know he had noticed and he was willing to listen. It was merely a matter of when Marguerite wished to talk about it.
