"I have no doubt in my mind about that. There do seem to be quite a few people who are technology savvy." While Lizzie could easily find her way around technology, teaching others how to use it was a different skill set altogether. Some things were definitely better left to those who had the patience for such things. Lizzie wasn't always the most patient of people. "Not to mention sanity," Lizzie added to William's statement. This place may have been highly similar to home, but there was also so much more here than there was at home. Lizzie was still trying to wrap her head around the classes offered to help teach people how to defend themselves from the things in this world. She was fairly certain she would never truly get her head around everything.
Taking a couple licks of her ice cream, Lizzie glanced out the window, half-expecting to see a certain redhead and a certain brunette just so happen to walk by. "They certainly know how to do this." Lydia certainly did enjoy having a hand in Lizzie's love life. Though up until now it was largely the whole poking fun at her being perpetually single. And being perpetually single was okay with Lizzie, sort of. She'd been more focused on her schoolwork to really think about guys. Not to mention the way her mother treated potential boyfriends put her off. Yet here she was sitting with William eating ice cream. When she'd first met him she never would have thought something like this current situation would have ever happened. But she was realizing she'd been wrong about William. Where that went from here, she had no idea. But it seemed that Gigi and Lydia wanted something to happen.
"There is certainly something comforting to be found in books, isn't there?" Lizzie probably would have done the same had it not been for the fact Gigi wasn't Gigi when she'd arrived and she was generally confused. Not to mention Lydia had been the prime target of some crazy vampire that wasn't crazy any longer. Or so it seemed. At the comment of writing in the margins, Lizzie chuckled a bit. "No, I doubt the staff at the library would appreciate that." Licking some ice cream off the side of her cone, Lizzie thought for a minute. "I actually think I know where a secondhand bookstore is. It's not overly far from here, if you're interested." Which clearly he was interested since he'd just mentioned that. "I mean, if you have the time after we're done with having ice cream."
