Okay so the composure Lizzie was attempting to keep was lost when William made the mention of working in retail. Without really meaning to, Lizzie just started laughing at that image as it floated through her mind. "You. Working retail. That would actually be kind of priceless, in a way." She said after she managed to stop laughing enough so she could speak. And then she sobered suddenly, quite aware of what she'd said. "Uh I mean I just can't picture you working retail." She really hoped she hadn't offended him by opening her mouth. She was good at offending people like that. "Honestly, I haven't figured that out yet. There was a bunch of crazy happening here when I first arrived, and then I was ensuring Lydia and Gigi were okay after that, I haven't really had a chance to think about trying to finish my degree."
Lizzie couldn't help the grin that crossed her face at his words. "They most certainly are persistent. I say we should find a way to get back at them for this. But that might just make things worse down the line." Though that wouldn't stop Lizzie from admonishing the pair of them. She wasn't a guinea pig to be used in some social experiment like this, after all. And neither was William, for that matter. They both were adults, though that at times could be questionable.
"It's fine, really. It's not like Gigi hasn't done this to me before. And Lydia has always nagged me about being perpetually single," she responded with a bit of a shrug. The situation didn't bother nearly as much as she thought it would. She wasn't certain if that was due to the fact her opinion of William was changing, or if it was because ice cream was involved. Or perhaps it was both, it was difficult to tell.
"Chocolate. I am in dire need of chocolate right now." Typically Lizzie only deeply indulged in chocolate when she was emotionally upset, but currently she just wanted chocolate, plain and simple.
