Who: Phoebe and Spike
Where: coffee house
When: upon arrival and after convo

For another dimension it was deceptively normal seeming. Well, other than the good vampire. So far. Of course, the Mirror universe seemed similar too. Until you got close enough and started looking around. Same with that so called Utopia that had been created. So when the vampire she had talked to online said she was taking it well, he really had no idea. Okay so maybe Phoebe was the one with no idea. She was freaking out a bit sure, but she knew that it did no good to just run around like an idiot all confused. The part that was really freaking her out was that her sisters were nowhere to be seen or heard. Which meant either they were separated, or she was bait to get them there too. Not that it mattered, usually even if it was just that one of them was bait, the others would show up anyway. Part of the whole Charmed thing. Really was only one way to get rid of the really bad stuff, that was the Power of Three.

Well, at least for now she had her wallet on her and could get a coffee while she fiddled around online. It was indeed 2013, the not so distant future. Her mind automatically drifted to the last time she had a small trip to the future. She'd died. Not the biggest selling point for future travel. Of course, everything she's found so far on the internet was pretty confusing. Of course she googled herself first, and her sisters. She found them too, so they existed in this dimension, in this time. The problem seemed to be that they seemed to exist as fictional characters. Some television show. That was disturbing.

Having ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee she found a pad of paper in her bag and started taking notes. Might as well find out all she could just in case. Maybe Spike would have more answers, maybe not. Either way it looked like she wasn't the only one along for this ride.

"What sort of writing?" Even though that wasn't entirely what his question had been directed at, now he was curious. "At least you're not a psychotic, evil witch bent on torturing everyone. We had one of those recently. Disney witch, actually. Ever see Sleeping Beauty?"

"Right. That plan. Well, it's all sort of complicated." He said, pulling out a cigarette for himself, offering the pack to her. He had no idea if she smoked or not, but social graces said you offered regardless. "There's classes, a huge list of them is at the complex, so you can learn out to deal with the things here. Learn how they tick, how they're defeated, all that. Also, how's your Latin?"

"I write an advice column. Or, I did. Pretty sure if I'm a comic book here, I'm not actually a writer. That's weird." The corners of her mouth turned down as she thought about that. She knew when they had people not of the ordinary show up they had to hide them. Phoebe didn't relish the idea of having to go underground. "Sleeping Beauty? Sure, I was even Cinderella once. And Godiva. So see not all bad." At least with the possessing.

Shaking her head at the cigarette she was able to finally match her strides to his. Listening her brows raised a bit. "Classes? Really? Huh, that would have been useful." They had learned as they went and there had been losses because of it. "So so, I mean I can get it down usually if I have to but I'm better at making my own spells."

"Maybe you still could, under a different name, and...you're a witch so, I'm sure you could pull of a glamor pretty easily so people don't think you're the actress that plays you. Just talk to Lois, she's your go-to for anything related to the paper, pretty much, I think." he nodded. "Might wait til you're more settled to jump into the job thing, though." He nodded, "Yeah, well, we had to deal ith Maleficent terrorizing the town recently, if that gives you a clue to how things go around here."

"Incredibly useful," he nodded, pocketing the cigarettes again when she declined the offer. "Well, you'll have to work on that, love, the exorcism's in Latin."

Her lips pursed as she made a considering face. "Yeah probably. Oh sure glamouring shouldn't be too hard. There's, not a chance of running into her is there? The actress I guess. That would be, weird." Filing the information away for later, Lois. She'd have to get in touch with her then and see about it. Not now, now there were more important things, but Phoebe knew she'd want to work if she was here for any length of time.

That made her stop walking as her companion kept moving. "Wait. How, long do you think I'll be here? How long have you been here?" Exorcism's in Latin, got it. Only way to get the demon out of the innocents she supposed.

"Running into her, specifically? Probably not, doubt she'll be running around Kansas. But other people would recognize you as her and that could cause a whole fuss."

Spike noticed she'd stopped and turned to face her. "You never know really, Seal's sort of fickle like that." he tossed his cigarette to the ground, puttingit out with his foot. "Some people are here a few months, others have been here for two or three years."

Phoebe just nodded. So at least she wouldn't run into this world's version of her. Well the actress anyway. Still she wasn't looking forward to designing a glamor version. Maybe she'd just combine a few different ideas.

Raising her chin almost as if challenging the seal she narrowed her eyes. "Years. I could be here years. Without my sisters. Why do I have the feeling asking about magic to get home will be useless?"

"Because it will be." He said, giving her a slightly apologetic look. "No one's ever really figured out where the seal is, nevermind exactly how it works, or if it's even possible to control it. Seal's the only way to get home, and it's sort of...whim-y."

Phoebe raised a brow and smiled. "Whim-y?" Okay so she could worry more about this being alone for years thing later. Kind of funny really. There was a time when all she wanted was to get away from her sisters, now she was ready to panic that they weren't around. Raising her hands she gestured forward and started walking again. "All right then, well at least my magic won't be entirely useless right? So what do you think? Should I go blonde or maybe red for this glamor?"

He nodded and started walking with her once again. "Magic will definitely be useful," he nodded. "I dunno," he chuckled softly, "Whatever you think would be best, I suppose."
