It was nice to see him smile, slight as it were, even if he was in pain. Perhaps her presence really would help him. It wasn't something she truly grasped. How could she have known? She had gotten the message that someone was asking for her three hours after being brought to the complex and it was autopilot after that, even though she wasn't completely certain yet. Should she have asked Eponine or Enjolras? Most likely but it never seemed the right time and it seemed that none of them really knew how to talk to the other. Eponine and Enjolras were clearly close and she was the odd one out. They were Marius' friends, they knew him and her? Well... she would figure that out in time.
"About a day?"
It had already been dark when she had gotten down to the medbay, and the sun had just set so that said about twenty four hours. That much she had managed to keep track of. The comings and goings of people, not so much, but she at least had managed to keep track of that. The request for water was met with a slight nod.
"Of course."
Extracting her hand, Cosette stood and retrieved a glass of water before returning to Marius' bedside, handing him the glass, prepared to help if she was needed, but giving him the space he would need as well. As for the question on where they were, well, that was something she didn't know how just to explain. All she could do was shrug.
"From what I was told, we are in America, specifically one of the.. states, Kansas. Your friends, Eponine or Enjolras, they can probably explain it better than I could. I believe they went to go get some food but they should be back at some point."
It was food, right? And would they both come back together? Or just one of them? Well that was something that could be dealt with whenever it came. For now, making sure he wouldn't choke on his water or whatever.
