When:Tonight
Where:The park
Warnings:TBA!

Simple. Simpleton. Any version of the word made his skin crawl. Much searched for his dagger in the rain, no longer caring about how cold or wet it was. Why did they always say simple? He knew hew as just a servant. The world could carry on without him if he should die and probably forget he existed within a weeks time. It would just keep turning. That was what simple meant. Unimportant. He'd looked it up once. Regretted every moment of it. He'd abandoned the backpack full of wood he'd been initially quite pleased at gathering where the witch had shown. What did it matter? Nobody really talked to him. He and Robin spoke words, but was that the same as talking? Was he even really worth anything at all?

He'd located his dagger finally. It fell from the sky and landed just underneath one of those burning bushes. He knelt and reached for it, wincing as the fire bit at his hand and burned the skin. He couldn't reach the weapon. Not like that anyway. He moved his hand to look at the angry burn and frowned. Simple indeed. Robin wouldn't have made such a stupid mistake. Anyone else wouldn't have either. The sudden urge to kick something rose as he stared at the trapped weapon. "What are you going to taunt me now too?" Talk to the fire Much, that makes you seem real sane. He internally scolded as he sat down in the middle of the now abandoned park and watched the flames engulf the weapon.

Rain poured down, clouds gathered overhead. Much still didn't move. If there was a tree house he might have gone to it in hopes not to be found, but he didn't. All he had was hurt pride and an injured hand. His existence did not equal Robins. Robin had once called him simple, it was meant as an insult and taken as one. He hated that word. It didn't hurt coming from that crazy witch, it hurt that Robin had once said the very same thing.

He was simple.

It didn't take much from Robin to cheer him up. It never had. Anyone else might have had a great deal of difficulty with it though. He wouldn't have believed the words from anyone else. He brushed some of the water from his eyes and face with his sleeve, though it didn't help really since his shirt was soaked through. "Think I've had this hat even before I knew you." This world was strange, he owned more things than he ever had. He wasn't so sure it was a good thing though. The hat and his dagger were on the list of more important items he owned over the newer things that were necessary to living in this century.

"T-that sounds good." He said between shivering. He was fairly quiet on their walk back toward the apartment. He just didn't have the energy to talk a lot. "I don't complain that much." He made a face at him though it wasn't a very serious one. Robin had helped him more than he knew just by coming out to find him. Not many would bother for a servant. Robin always found him, and he would always do the same.

"I don't recall you ever not having it. Though it did used to look a little bigger on your head. I think you've stretched it to fit." He noticed the shiver, but didn't comment. There would be no getting his friend to go faster at this point, and they were almost back, anyway.

"Not always complaining, no." He opened the door of the complex once they reached it, waiting for Much to walk in ahead of him and begin up the stairs. "Just most of the time." Things wouldn't be normal if he didn't tease. And unlike how it had been with Roy and the others, Robin knew how far he could go, what he could say and get away with before Much really took offence.

He almost said that was because it was his hat and nobody could have it, but he knew Robin wasn't after it. He still had a few residual servant issues at times. The other kids didn't own much either and also stole what they could, owning things was near impossible. So he felt protective of the two things he did manage to keep all this time. Instead he just smirked and shoved him lightly.

"Do not." Much made a face and stepped into the warm building. "Indoor heating is a thing I'll miss if I ever go home." He commented and looked over at him with a flat expression. "Says you." And snickered. Robin was a pain in the ass when sick. Sometimes the rest of the gang could be sort of cruel towards him, but he mostly was used to it. He still loved them anyway. He always would, no matter which world they were stuck in. Robin too even though he was occasionally a brat.

Laughing at the shove, he followed him up the stairs. "Yes says me. No one could complain as much as you do, when you're unhappy about something. Not getting enough food, the fire is blowing smoke in your face, you don't have as many blankets as Allan..." He trailed off on his list of examples as he opened the apartment door, again waiting for Much to go in ahead of him before shutting it behind them.

"Go have a shower and get warm. I'll see if we have something warm for you to eat. Marian should be back soon."
