"I promise you, Lois, she won't break," she assured her friend sweetly. There wasn't a doubt in her mind about the choice she'd made in godmothers. Lois was so determined to do it right, even when she was genuinely scared of doing it wrong. Wasn't that what really mattered? Emma's number one desire was to make sure that her daughter knew as much love as physically possible. She hadn't, and she didn't think Henry had as much as she'd wanted him to when she'd given him up. But Aislinn, she was surrounded with it, and Emma intended to make sure it stayed that way.
"Do you have any idea how proud of you I am?" she asked, her lips tilting in a smile. "I don't care if he had to take you to the moon and back. You were willing, you did it, and she's fine. You haven't damaged her for life and I am pretty certain she loves you even more right now." As if on cue, the baby sneezed and Emma grinned, twisting in her position to get the baby wipes from the diaper bag. "She's also a very classy lady. Boogies everywhere just for you, Aunt Lois. If that's not adoration, I don't know what is."
