The sound that escaped Emma's mouth could only be described as a snort. She tried to cover it up with a cough but it turned into a genuine cough and then she couldn't help laughing at the almost offended look on Aislinn's face. Her cheeks were turning pink as she handed the baby over to her godmother to hold so she could try and regain her composure.
But she couldn't help it. She had to add, "Great, Lois, now if her baby's first word is crap, she's going to find you. And make you listen to this song on repeat."
This time she earned herself a glare from Phoebe, a woman who looked like it physically pained her to glare. She finished the butterfly song and pointedly looked at the pair causing such a disruption to her sunshine and sugar class. "Is there a problem, ladies? We don't want anyone to be grumpy on such a sunshiney happy day!" God love her, she couldn't even scold them without being happy about it.
"No," Emma coughed out, fighting back giggles. She was the kid who'd stayed in trouble in school, and being called out on it was nothing new to her. If this was a start to Aislinn's future in school, however, Emma was prepared to spend a lot of time in the elementary, middle, and high school's principal's office.
