She nodded, but had nothing further to say on the matter. She would keep quiet, but she didn't have to be happy about it. And she wouldn't be. And she wasn't going to like this guy, Andrew. She would probably not ever be able to even be civil with him, so more than anything, she'd just have to ignore him. And she knew that might hurt Peter and as much as she didn't want to do that, it would hurt him more if she went all volatile on this guy. So staying away was the smartest plan all around.
He started to speak, but he fell quiet before much more than her name had come out of his mouth. "What, Peter?" she muttered softly, her voice rather flat. She hadn't been in this place for very long, but already she was emotionally drained and it was obvious--in the expression on her face, the tone of her voice, the way she carried herself.
