Merlin smiled at her. "There is nothing wrong with letting your mind wandering into a world of knowledge and intrigue, by wandering the halls of information, milady." He nodded. "You are wise for one so young." He nodded again, squeezing her hand.
"Oh, indeed, technology is a kind of magic. This I know. I just do not entirely understand or trust it yet. It is artificial." His nose wrinkled and he shook his head. "I suppose in some ways I am somewhat affected by where and when I came from."
He offered her a soft smile as he let her take her hand back to better hold the book. "I hope you shall enjoy it, and ask me any questions you wish. While I am no master, I have had to debate on the subject quite a lot." His easy smile was warm.
He reached out his hand, and let it rest on her shoulder,. subtly guiding her as they walked, and making sure no obstacles barred their way. Once there was a power pole and people to the left an right, but a whispered word and they passed through it with nary a ripple.
