"I do, milady. I enjoy it fiercely. I have gathered many books quickly to my home, to read and to try to understand this time and the times between." He smiled to her as they walked. He was more than willing to follow her and he did so with a spring in his step.

As he walked, he wiggled his fingers, mind on their moment, and on a thought of his as well. Light flickered along his fingers as his thoughts called magic, but those around them would see nothing, for he had come to understand subtlety, and his magic hid from most.

"I am eager to learn all I can in this age." He was, for in such learning he saw his future.
