Who: Gaia and Galen What: You know that saying what goes around comes around? Well, karma is biting Gaia in the ass in the form of cocaine AND opium withdrawal at the SAME TIME. Because I am an evil person like that. When: Right now Where: Gaia's house Warnings:NSFW. HIGH for drug withdrawal symptoms including a seizure (because both opium withdrawal and me are evil like that). So if you are sensitive to this sort of thing, do not read. There's also a minor amount of blood from a cut sustained during the seizure. Probably language and such on Galen's end. And really, this is just the beginning
Normally Gaia kept better track of how much opium and cocaine she had. But she had gone a bit overboard in using them on her birthday. After all, she'd wanted the rush of an incredible high, achieved through drugs and sex. And oh, how she had achieved it. However, when she'd sobered the next day, she'd realized she didn't have any cocaine left, and only enough opium for one more dose. That was when she'd started inwardly freaking out. With Moriarty dead, she didn't know who to turn to for the drugs she needed. This modern world still was alien to her in how to obtain such things. If she was still in Rome, or even Capua, she'd know exactly who to go to to get what she required. There was also the fact that she didn't have the coin necessary to pay for the drugs here. So, basically, she was screwed.
The cocaine withdrawal symptoms were the first to hit. Agitation and being unable to stay at rest. Fatigue and a depressed mood set in first. Okay, those symptoms she could handle. It was the ones for opium withdrawal that she was not looking forward to. She'd experienced them before, so at least where opium was concerned, she knew what to expect. But cocaine was new to her. Those symptoms were unexpected, but so far much easier to handle. She could still function normally. Well, if one ignored the fact she was having intensifying cravings for cocaine. But generally speaking, Gaia was still a functioning human being. Though she didn't leave her home for fear of some other, less controllable symptom presenting itself without warning.
After all, it was hard to tell when a symptom would present itself. And the fact that she didn't have either of her two drugs currently? It would undoubtedly make this all the worse. At least the opium withdrawal symptoms had not yet kicked in. She'd only had the agitation, restlessness, fatigue and depressed mood for the past two days, that she'd noticed at least. So really, it was only a matter of time before the opium withdrawal kicked in. Gaia was trying to gauge when to expect it, but it was unpredictable. And really, who knew what kind of effects the cocaine would have on her as well. Sighing a bit, Gaia was in the kitchen about to pour herself something to drink. As she grabbed a glass, she paused, a strange look passing over her face as she suddenly felt dizzy and light-headed. She tried to focus herself, but before she could, the seizure hit. Promptly dropping the glass, Gaia collapsed to the floor, losing consciousness before she was even on the floor. On the way down, her forehead caught the edge of the counter, leaving a cut behind deep enough to draw blood, but not to do more damage than that. There was a slightly sickening thud as her head hit the floor hard. She lay there on the floor seizing, muscles convulsing uncontrollably. It would last no longer than 30 seconds and she would regain consciousness around the same time, possibly even before the seizure stopped.
