Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:kara zor-el, lois lane

Who: Kara Kent, Lois Lane, NPC demons
What: Looking for the taken people
When: Morning, around nine
Where: Around the city
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete

After circling around a building and x-raying ever angle she could get from it, Kara zipped around the other side and flew down the ground, landing quietly beside Lois, crossing her arms over her chest. "Empty." save for a few lead spots, but those patches weren't big enough to hold people. Listening confirmed it, there was no one inside save a few rats, and maybe a cat. The poor cat.

"There's a building on the other side I can't see passed though. Lined with lead. People are inside. Could just be workers though, it doesn't exactly sound like torture central." in other words there was no screaming from what she could hear, and Kara had heard that she should expect screaming.

Kara tilted her head and looked through the building she was standing infront of, to the one past them. "Wanna check it out?" she asked the other female, turning to look at Lois. She knew the other woman really didn't like demons. But hey, on the plus side at least she couldn't be possessed. Kara half wished her skin would take the ink so she could get the tattoo as well, it seemed like a safer bet than just the trinket around her neck, next to her familys crest. The only plus side she had was that demons would have to work damn hard, in large numbers to get it off her.

Lois let out a sigh and nodded at Kara. "Might as well check it out," she said with a bit of a shrug. "I mean, we can't really just skip buildings, can we? With my luck, if we skip one it'll be the one everyone's in." And that would just be bad. But that didn't stop her from hesitating for just a moment, long enough to take the rubber band out of her hair (it was getting too loose to be comfortable) and putting it right back up again.

"Alright, might as well get this over with." She took a deep breath before starting in the direction of the mystery building. Yeah, it was true that Lois couldn't get possessed any more, not unless the skin over her right shoulder blade got somehow sliced off, but that wasn't exactly the happiest of trains of thought, so Lois tried not to take it. But the fact that she couldn't get possessed didn't make this all rainbows and giggles. She could still get hurt, she could still see her friends and family get hurt. Lois wasn't as strong as Kara and Clark, so she thought to bring supplies with her in a bag hanging over her shoulder. It was filled with salt and holy water, for the most part. And that made her feel slightly better.

The smallest of smirks touched her lips as she let her blue eyes flick over to Lois. "Don't worry, Lois. I'll protect you." she said with smallest of laughs. "Besides, Kal-El would kill me if I let his future girlfriend get killed." she liked it better when she could switch back and forth between his names, it made life easier. She'd never stop calling him that. No one else would, and someone needed to remind him of who he was.

She started toward the building at the same time, arms hanging loose at her sides. She had a bottle of holy water with her and something to draw a devils trap, but that was it. She was stronger than the demons, faster too. She could draw the trap around them before they even blinked. She knew the words. She wasn't worried, or too worried, as long as numbers weren't too high.

Not that she was expecting to take on any demons. If they found them, they reported back. Soon enough the building came into view. "Can't see a thing." she muttered. She had the urge to fly up to one of the windows and look in, but she wasn't going to leave Lois alone again when she couldn't see.

Lois couldn't help rolling her eyes at both the "protection" and "future girlfriend" remarks. Especially the future girlfriend one. "I'm starting to think Smallville has too many names. Doesn't Andrea call him something, too?" she said, smirking just slightly. Focusing on stuff like that made it easier to stay calm.

While Kara stared down the building Lois kept her eyes moving, making sure there was no one coming at them suspiciously. She kept one hand on the bag, just in case she needed to get in it quickly. "Now you know how us humans feel. See if you can get a closer look," she added, still scanning the street. "I'll be fine here for a minute. It's not like they can possess me again."

And yes, Lois was fully aware that possession wasn't the only worry just then, but they needed to see if this was the place or not. And she was willing to admit that Kara was more likely to be able to figure out if this was it without having to just crash into the building.

Kara smirked, hiding a slight laugh at her reaction. "Sidekick. But Smallville and Sidekick are just nicknames. Kal-El isn't a nick name." it was his birthname, and though he didn't seem to like to when she used it often, she wasn't going to stop. It represented too much.

Nodding, she rose a few feet off the ground, looking down at her. "Don't let trouble find you." she warned, with a slight smile. Though she was being serious. Trouble was like a magnet for Lois, and it made her nervous to keep leaving her. "It's not possession I'm worried about. It's the demon with the knife." the last thing she wanted was for Lois to be ripped up. She didn't have anything to worry about in that aspect. Any knife was just going to get destroyed against her skin.

And then she shot off in a red-blue blur, up and over the building to the next one. She went to the very top windows, and began peeking in to see who she could spot, if they were anyone of interest.
