Morning After
Who: Chloe Sullivan and Oliver Queen
What: Post drunkness shame
When: Sunday morning
Where: Her apartment
Warnings: Possible angst, definitely embarrassment.

Her head was pounding and her body was heavy. As she slowly woke up, she groaned and pulled the covers higher over her head, rubbing it slowly over her face, memories from the previous night coming back to her almost instantly.

And with that came complete and utter shame.

Slowly, she pulled the blanket down and reached for her phone on the bedside table, wincing as when she opened her text messages, Oliver's screen popped up instantly and as she read everything and remembered even better all she had said and done during the night and worse, all over the boards, she really had no real desire to ever leave the bedroom ever again, much less the apartment.

But leaving the bed was going to be a necessity since she knew her headache was partially due to lack of caffeine.

After a long moment, she got up and with her eyes still closed, she made her way to the bathroom for a shower. Once she felt slightly cleaner, she changed into a pair of sweat pants and a tanktop then made her way to the coffee maker, not even noticing she had a guest on her couch.

And even making the offer made her feel exposed, but all things considered, he could just google her and find out everything she was hiding and then some, so there wasn't really any reason for her to hide this if he was interested in getting to know her better. And she did want him to know her better.

Besides, his initial question hadn't been that bad anyway. "It was mostly just dad and I," she said quietly, taking a deep breath and straightening.

"My mom left when I was little, not long after Lois' mom passed away." She admitted, "that's one of the reasons why the two of us are so close, I guess. But with the general having to travel a lot and usually dragging Lois and Lucy with him, we didn't get to spend that much time together."

Oliver chewed the inside of his cheek as he listened to her, searching her eyes. He knew that Lois' mom had died when she was young, and Lois had mentioned in passing that Chloe's mom had taken off not long after. He nodded slightly, his eyes sad as he thought about how lonely they both must have been growing up, apart.

"Are you and your dad close?" he asked quietly. It was something he suspected he already knew the answer to considering her dad hadn't even been at her wedding. Which for her, hadn't even happened, of course.

"We were, growing up." She nodded, pursing her lips together and taking a deep breath as she shifted on the couch.

"He's an amazing dad," she told him quietly, "but... I don't know how much you know about Lionel's trial when I was in high school?" She asked.
