He always knew the right things to say. He always managed to get her back on track with just a few words. She'd have Rome. He'd see to it. Augustus had named her his heir and give it a few years and he'd have an unfortunate accident. Terribly tragic. Rome would mourn and then she would lead it to greatness. "I know it is, And I can be patient." she told him, even believing it herself. She could do patient. Be that person he wanted her to be. And he obviously saw some kind of reward in this place that she couldn't see. She wasn't a god. She was willing to trust that he knew what he was talking about.
He looked around for a moment and with a few steps and Livia back in his embrace they were suddenly in a beautiful room, high up with a view of the city. Now this reminded her of Rome. Oh the view was nothing like it was from the Imperial Palace but it would do. She knew he'd found the best place in the city for them and she was very very grateful.
"You treat me so well. You always have." she told him. stepping away for a second to look around at the luxury.
"I don't know this world. You know more than me. So, what do we do here? What happens here?" she asked curiously. If he wanted them to stay here then there had to be a logical reason. Opportunities she wasn't seeing. There wasn't a war here she could win. She didn't have her legions. She didn't have the might of Rome behind her. How could she be relevant here. Livia found herself pacing, anxious. She didn't like when she didn't know what was going on. "Don't think I'm not grateful for this. For all of this, but I don't understand, how can I be useful here when I don't know this world?" she asked him, more than a little confused at how this was all supposed to work.
