He enjoyed teasing her. Possibly a little too much. The new surroundings had barely bothered him on the outside. Mentally was another story, he was still trying to work through what exactly had happened. He knew something had gone awry and the Rome he knew and loved was not accessible. He didn't know why. He'd tried to teleport back but it hadn't worked. He wouldn't be telling her that right away, it may yet again play to his favor if he did not.
A muscled arm held around her, he silenced her in the most reassuring way he knew how. He wasn't very good at listening to idle problems. Mortal issues. He cared not for them. He held onto her though he knew she would not struggle, he was not about to let her out of his sights again. Not any time soon. The kiss deepened for a moment before he stopped to allow her to breathe and she spoke more words that displeased him.
His brows furrowed some as she begged him to take her back, the hell he wanted to stay there in modern times. People were much more intelligent, he knew. This town in it's own was what could be called a college town. A place for studying and learning what they could not even access in their time. He was going to have to tread more carefully.
"Don't be so impatient. We have an opportunity here." There was an amusement to his face that hadn't existed moments ago. Already this world had his wheels turning.
