She very nearly pouted when he hesitated, just for that little bit. She knew of course it was designed to tease her but dammit it was working, and of course he knew that. And he seemed so relaxed. So aware of his surroundings not like she'd reacted at all. But then he was the God of War. If he didn't know what he was doing then she was completely at a loss. But then he was done hesitating and pushed through the crowd toward her, focused on only her, just the way she liked it. She loved watching him, he had a stride borne of his power, of his legacy. He pushed through the crowd like they were water like they weren't even there, some even moved out of his way as if they knew.
And she was in his arms. Right where she liked to be more than anything.
"Of course I waited. Did you think I wouldn't? I waited and I want to bring you their heads on platters. There's a little Amazon bitch that..." Suddenly he was kissing her and everything else fled from her mind. There would be time for that later, right now there was just Ares and nothing else could even begin to matter. Oh she'd missed him, oh so much. And the idiots muttering, well she'd kill them if he wanted, every single one of them. She'd lay this city to waste if he would but ask it of her. The others, the ones who had called her Eve and told her she could be better didn't understand. No one could.
When the kiss finally broke Livia looked up at him, still wrapped up in his arms more than content to remain there, she didn't at all want to spoil the mood but she had to. "Can we go home, can you bring me back to Rome. I don't like it here and there are so many things we still have to do, don't you think?"
