For as much as had changed in the world, Gaia had seen that not everything did change. Some things were still the same. People were largely still the same. Saying one thing, then turning around and doing the exact opposite. From things she had observed so far, people had not really changed, only the civilizations. Though the loss of Latin as a widely spoken language did sadden her. Being forced to learn English, a rather barbaric sounding tongue if Gaia had anything to say about it, was not something she liked. But it was a necessity to survive in this place, and Gaia would do anything to survive. So she had to do her best to let go of her noble upbringing in some cases. One of which was coming down here herself to meet Moriarty for her drugs. She had her pride, but this was a time where she needed to set it aside long enough to gain what she needed.
When Moriarty told her he had what she wanted in ample supply, she was not surprised. He was certainly a man who seemed to have all the right connections. And really, she didn't know who else to turn to in order to give her the opium she both wanted and needed. Though she was really taking a liking to cocaine. In powder form, that is. She did not like the sound of injecting herself with it. She far preferred either taking drugs orally, as she tended to put her opium in her wine, or snorting as she did with the cocaine. She watched him lay out the line for her on the table. The marble table. Gods how she missed the finer things in life.
"Gratitude," she replied with a smile. Before she answered his question, she shifted forward in her chair, leaning over the table. She snorted the line of cocaine, then straightened back up. She sniffed a bit, wiping at her nose briefly as she leaned back in the chair. Perhaps she should have resisted using the drug until she'd gotten back to the complex, but she really couldn't resist it. Gaia had a weakness for feeling good, for the highs that opium and cocaine gave her. She liked the way her head would spin, the way things sometimes seemed so surreal. Giving her head a little shake, Gaia focused her attention back on Moriarty.
"I miss the life of luxury I had in Rome. I am unaccustomed to living in such a small living space. I would like a house again, with Roman decoration." It would take a minute or two before the high started to kick in, so Gaia was going to do her very best to draw her line before she started to lose control of herself. "I will not kill someone, not in a messy way. I could perhaps poison someone, but I will not do anything of the messy sort. Manipulation, seduction, and things related to those I will do. Male, female, it does not matter." She smirked a bit, her dark eyes glinting a bit. She did love to play with people, and she had a feeling Moriarty would give her that as part of her repayment to him. And she did have rather a wide spectrum open to him to choose from in getting her to return said favor, but she was fine with doing what needed to be done as long as it did not cross the line she had just drawn.
