That was weird. His dad and his grandmother hanging out. But Chris got it. The thing about basically living forever was going through multiple generations. Didn't make it less creepy.
Chris' face darkened at the mention of Cole Turner. The pages in the Book of Shadows were vague, but the look on his aunt's face whenever the demon's name came up wasn't. He wanted his aunt happy and that man clearly hadn't done it. Phoebe deserved so much better than that demon bastard. "Cole Turner had better just keep his distance," he said bitterly. "And that Christy, too." Chris was, after all, not exactly a trusting kind of guy.
It was only months of living with the sisters in their time and having to pretend he wasn't who he was that gave Chris the ability not to wince when Leo said how they could make it work. They hadn't, had they? Was that his fault? Or Wyatt's? Or was it Leo's? He really hated this. "Maybe that's why I'm not with anyone in my time. In my other time, I mean. I was engaged back home for a while." Till his fiance sold him out to his asshole brother. But that was another story. "But Mel says where she's from, I'm not engaged or married or anything. Which is okay, I mean, I'm only twenty-one, but still. Maybe it's the whitelighter thing." Or was he older in Mel's timeline? That was...a little bit depressing.
