It was just after dusk as Liz walked back to the apartment complex from the grocery store. She had realized earlier that day that the fridge needed restocked and headed out that evening to do it. After grabbing a bite to eat, she went to the mark, and now she was on her way home. She generally tried to be indoors before dark but she took longer at the store then she wanted and now it was dark by the time he had left and now she was very cautiously moving forward, keeping her eyes and ears peeled.
It was a good thing she did or else she probably wouldn't have seen a figure come out of the shadows near her. She tried to keep moving forward, hoping they would go away but she stopped when she felt her behind them. Spinning around, her eyes went wide when she saw their fangs showing in the moonlight. She was thrown off guard for a moment or two then her defenses kicked in the gear and she narrowed here eyes. "If you know what's good for you, you'll find someone else to have for dinner" The vampire just laughed and moved towards her. She stepped back, almost tripping as she did so. She caught her balance and didn't let it throw her off as she stared the beast down. "I'm serious. Walk away right now" Seconds after she was done talking, the man lounged at her.
Dropping the grocery bag that was in her arm, she held her right arm out and suddenly, a blast of green energy came out of her hand, sending the vampire backwards a few good fetd. "You should have listened to me" She spoke, green electricity visibly surging through her as she lowered her arm and stared out to where the vampire was. She stayed alert, not knowing what the vampire would do next. It wasn't safe to turn her back just yet.
