It was such a weird situation. The Woman. The Woman actually coming to her for her blood to heal a scar. And letting her drink from her which confused the hell out of Lexi. It was gonna be perfectly normal human blood but Lexi sort of expected something more. That it'd taste of refined brit or something. But no. It would just taste normal.And she could hopefully use her blood to help heal the scar Moriarty had left on Irene's face. It was going to be tricky given he was using witches. But maybe it wouldn't be that bad because maybe his witch wouldn't have predicted a vampire giving her blood freely.

Lexi certainly hadn't and she definitely hadn't predicted the flirting. She supposed it was just them being themselves. But it added a level she hadn't expected to the proceedings. But it would go as she expected, she'd help Irene and the woman would be a closer friend than she had been previous. It wasn't unexpected.

So she stood in the park. It was beginning to turn dark and Lexi was keeping people away from her just by letting her true presence out a little bit. Even bats and birds had abandoned the place just to keep away from the dead thing that walked. But Irene would find her. At nine on the dot she dropped the presence and waited for the woman that was fast becoming her friend to join her. She hoped she could help with the scar. It didn't look bad, not really but she understood what it meant to Irene and how it would be better if she could have rid of it. And if she could do that and help Irene get one up on the Irish Psycho then why the hell shouldn't she.

Irene had a feeling that her offer of blood in return was unexpected. But as she had said, it would be rude not to reciprocate. Also, from what she knew, taking a vampires blood weakened them, and she was not unfond of Lexi - giving her own to balance that effect was only polite. And besides, the flirting it had incited was simply delightful. Not that she anticipated anything coming from it, Lexi was too hung up on the man she'd left behind for that, but it was still enjoyable.

Before leaving the house she stopped and examined herself in the mirror. The cut was still there, crossing her cheek, still as red and raw as it had been the day she'd returned from that horrible future. The edges were starting to heal, but too slowly to be natural, and if left like this it would be months before it closed completely. And while the idea of a scar didn't entirely bother her (damn him but he was right, it did have an artistic flare to it), keeping the damn thing clean and uninfected did. She sighed and smoothed her hair, telling herself it would gone soon enough.

Pulling the door behind her, she stepped out of her house and into a waiting hackney, calmly telling the driver her destination. There was no guarantee that he wasn't under Jim's control, but she had come to terms with always being watched. At least in the park there would be no cameras to record what they were doing. This way, he'd only know who she had been meeting, if even that.

Sliding out of the cab at a minute past nine, she strode into the park, determinedly not looking around her in paranoia, much as she wanted to. Spotting Lexi she made her way towards her and smiled. "It's good to see you" she greeted, before kissing her on the cheek.

Irene met her just a minute after the allotted time and Lexi was impressed at how, alright she looked. She wasn't back to her usual self but few people could tell that, outside of she supposed, those that knew her well enough to call bullshit. Not that she was going to or anything but she'd gotten here. She'd taken a step to being okay and that was good enough for Lexi. As for the reason, well that was a whole other kettle of fish. Which was a weird saying. She'd never kept fish in a kettle, who would even do that. More to the point? Why?

Not the time. Lexi returned the kiss with a grin and smiled at her friend. "You too, wish it was under less random circumstance but needs must and all that. You'll be okay, we'll fix that scar and...yeah. It'll be fine." It was a mean looking scar too. Lexi could see just why Irene wanted it fixed if not just for the memories and it would do some good in those terms. Just to get her past what he had done to her. And magically kept open. Ugh he was a jerk. A crazy Irish jerk and she was glad both Irene and Emma were away from him.

"Follow me." she said softly, wandering a ways into the tree covered area and letting her vampiric nature show more than she ever did as she bit into her wrist. The blood came quickly. It always did, but there wasn't long till it would heal, a minute, maybe two if it wasn't drunk from.

"Drop the vervain by that tree then come here. It's alright, its weird. Believe me I know its weird but it'll be fine." she said, holding out her arm to her friend. She figured it was best to get this part over with as quick as possible. Then they could talk properly without it on either of their minds.

Irene nodded silently when Lexi told it would be fine. It wouldn't, not for a long time, but she appreciated the sentiment. She had spent three weeks running, terrified, powerless, outside her comfort zone in every way. And then those few horrible hours as he taunted, honing his knives, describing exactly what he'd done to her future self; what he was going to do to her now. She may have escaped after the first cut, but it hardly mattered - very little physical damage had been done, true, but the memories were more than enough.

Still, though, knowing that Lexi cared enough to help her like this, and having Helena - beautiful, sensuous, damaged Helena - in her bed and her life had helped more than she'd care to admit. She wasn't fine, but she was a damn sight better than she would have been without them.

Following Lexi into the trees she watched, raising an eyebrow in surprise, as veins became visible around the vampires eyes, and her face became something less (or more?) than human. Her surprise was unwarranted, in a way, she'd known that Lexi was not exactly like the vampires of lore so she should have expected a shift like this. Although she'd brought no vervain with her, she dropped her handbag by the tree, simply to reassure her friend. Taking the gushing wrist in her hands she dipped her head, firmly shutting out the part of her that rebelled at such an act. It was necessary to drink, she told herself, to rid herself of his mark. The curiosity that had sparked upon being told it was like the best drug in the world helped too, admittedly.

The taste of it in her mouth was revolting, so much iron and copper and the texture was horrible...until the first swallow. And then she understood what Lexi meant, because the warmth flowing through her and the spark that seemed to be infecting her mind were amazing. It felt like liquid energy filling her, and her next gulp was more urgent, her tongue lashing out to catch the drops curling around Lexi's wrist, her grip tightening on her arm and a moan escaping her lips. She had intended to only drink a mouthful, just enough to do the job, but all thoughts of stopping were gone from her mind.

The vamp face had gotten an eyebrow. Just the one mind, but it was impressive all the same. A raised eyebrow from The Woman was like a jaw dropping gasp from most people. So she'd take it. And be a little smug. Well, okay she'd be smug after the human was done drinking from her. She was taking a lot. More than she'd normally allow most to take but knowing she could end this whenever she needed to. She'd gone further with Lee plenty of times, and then the one time where everything had changed. After the moan and the tightening of the grip at her arm Lexi looked down wondering if anything had changed on her face, she'd get a couple more seconds and then.

"Irene, Irene, done. You're done. Come on now." she told her friend, employing just enough of her supernatural strength to remove her friends grasp from her arm and pull herself back, the cut on her wrist beginning to knit together. She knew how it tasted to humans. Of course she did.

"Let me see your face."

Bloody and all as it was around the mouth, Irene was practically glowing. Unsurprising. And the scar was, Dammit it wasn't gone. It wasn't finished. It had healed, no longer was it an open wound and most wouldn't even see it. But there it was all the same, a tiny faded line, but a line nonetheless. "It's a lot better than it was if that helps any? I'm sorry I couldn't heal it completely but...maybe we try again in a few weeks?" Or maybe he'd anticipated her. Who knew with a man like Moriarty. But it had healed some. She'd done something. Lexi leaned against the tree trying to regain her focus. Being drunk from was weird at the best of times, some vampires liked it. Lexi, not so much.

"So uh, yeah. Don't get hooked on vamp blood. That'd suck. No pun intended"

As she was pulled her away from her wrist, the source of her enjoyment, Irene almost growled in disappointment, then reeled back, dizzy and discombobulated from the liquid flame snaking its away around her body. Although she barely registered the words coming from Lexi's mouth, she still tilted her head backwards, vaguely aware of the importance of what the vampire was doing.

The couple of seconds it took Lexi to examine her were enough for Irene to regain control of herself, and she stood up straighter, licking the remaining blood off her lips. Good lord but it was delicious, and she could honestly say she had never felt this alive. Or, for that matter, this hyper. The Woman was always in control, but right now she felt like giggling out loud. And possibly climbing that tree - a thought she managed to dismiss, not without effort - when the dignified part of her mind kicked in to remind her how ridiculous a notion it was.

And then Lexi was saying that the wound was closed but not gone, and she found she didn't care. "Oh, fuck it, it's fine" was her reply, uncharacteristic as it was "as long as it's closed I'm perfectly happy." A stance that would probably evaporate when the fire in her veins faded, but for now she truly was satisfied with the result.

The vampire looked as out of it as Irene felt, leaning against the tree like that, and she couldn't help but feel a little guilty knowing she was the cause. But, perhaps her suspicions were correct, and her blood in return would fix it. A devilish smile spread across her face and she pulled up the sleeve of her blouse. Then paused, unsure if Lexi would favour a spot other than her wrist. "Tell me, my dear..." a manic little giggle escaping her "what piece would you like? Breast, leg or thigh?" Lexi probably wouldn't get the joke, but to Irene the reference to Sunday lunch was currently hilarious.

Well that was more than a little unusual. The cursing, the hyperness. It was true of most who fed from vampires but watching it on Irene Adler was remarkably fascinating. She'd have run and told Stefan if she didn't think it was probably the worst story he could hear right now. Irene was telling her she was fine with her face as it was but in such a way that Lexi wasn't sure if she actually was or if this was just blood induced hyper. That was the difference with her and the Salvatores, or Katherine. She didn't live for this, these moments where she knew she could probably have Irene with a click of her fingers just cause of a little blood. In fact it bothered her more than she'd ever let on to her friend. It was messed up just how hooked they could get so quickly and then the friendship shifted. It always shifted.

That said, Lexi wasn't walking away, was she? Oh no, she'd given of herself and now Irene was offering Lexi what she wanted most, what she always wanted most in return. Fresh human blood straight from the vein. And Lexi was no Ripper, she knew just how much to take, when to stop. She'd never be someone that got off on the kill, that needed that thrill to survive. Her switch was always firmly set to 'Yay Humanity'. But this was about as close as she got to the other side.

That manic giggle, the wrist offered, the other comments made. Oh she got the joke but it was hard, so hard to pull her eyes from Irene's neck. There would never be an offer that would outdo the obvious. There was a reason why it was obvious, why all the lore talked about it, no matter the world or the story. The blood was freshest there, it tasted all the better for it.

"Wherever you're happy with?" said Lexi softly, veins appearing at the corners of her eyes again and her fangs extending as she moved closer to her friend. "Whatever you're more comfortable with?" She was behind her now, almost without a movement she'd reached there from the tree. And in control as she was, even now, Lexi waited to be informed where suited.
